The worst of this weekend's storms appear to be out of the way, but more rain is coming to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Sunday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
Showers and some thunderstorms are possible across the region Aug. 2, starting in the afternoon through the evening. The weather service says much of the risk for severe storms will miss the region from the north.
Rain is expected to begin around 2 p.m. and showers on and off mainly through 8 p.m., according to the weather service.

Still, some stronger showers could
develop into thunderstorms and cause heavy rainfall, though the weather service says it will be much less widespread.
The bright side? A sunny work week lies ahead.
Daytime temperatures through Thursday are expected to hover in the mid-80s and drop to the mid-60s overnight. No rain is expected until late Thursday night into Friday, when showers and thunderstorms are possible going into the weekend.
