Thunderstorms pose another flood risk across Greater Cincinnati, officials said.

Rainfall maximums on Aug. 12 could reach between 4 to 6 inches in areas that see repeated rounds of rain, according to the National Weather Service of Wilmington.

Flash flood warnings are being issued Wednesday morning, one day after over 180,000 Duke energy customers lost power and schools announced closures.

A flood watch remains in effect through the evening, and residents are urged to be cautious around flooded roads and low-lying areas.

Butler, Dearborn flash flood warnings

Parts of Butler County, Ohio, and Dearborn County, Indiana, could see flash floods until around 1:30 p.m., officials said.

If you are in a flood prone area, the National Weather Service of Wilmington urges you to move to high ground.

All areas within Butler County are at risk of flooding to due heavy rain while Indiana's flash flood risk is mainly near southwestern Dearborn County, the National Weather Service of Wilmington said.

Flash flood warnings were issued around 10:20 a.m.
