Cincinnati Bengals receiver Mitchell Tinsley is joining the Houston Texans' practice squad, according to multiple reports.
Tinsley was among players the Bengals cut to finalize their 53-man roster.
In 2025, Tinsley played in all 17 games during his first season with the Bengals, totaling eight catches for 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Tinsley made a one-handed touchdown catch from backup quarterback Jake Browning during the third quarter of the team's home-opening NFL Week 2 win against Jacksonville. It was Tinsley's first regular-season NFL catch.
Tinsley impressed Monday Night Football's Joe Buck and Troy Aikman as he made five catches for 73 yards with two touchdown receptions from Browning just moments apart during the second quarter
of an NFL preseason game against Washington at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.
"That guy's been making plays all of camp," Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow said of Tinsley during the preseason game, to ESPN's Laura Rutledge. "I've been really happy for him. Hopefully he's secured a spot for us. He's a guy that you can really count on, I think. Smart guy, knows all of the positions. And you have a guy that you can trust like that is very valuable."
Tinsley signed with the Commanders as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He appeared in two games for Washington during the 2023 season.
In February 2025, the Bengals signed Tinsley to a reserve/future contract for the 2025 season.
