Greater Cincinnati will remain under a stretch of late-summer heat through Friday, but a chance of rain is back in the forecast.
The National Weather Service says heat index values, or what the temperature feels like when humidity is factored in, could reach around 100 degrees Thursday, Sept. 3. Similar conditions are expected Friday and a heat advisory remains in effect through 8 p.m.
While temperatures are expected to stay above normal through Saturday, forecasters say the worst of the heat should ease this weekend as a cooler pattern begins to develop.
When will Greater Cincinnati see rain?
Forecasters say scattered storms could develop Thursday afternoon and evening, with the better chance for severe weather in central
Ohio. However, some of those storms could make their way farther south.
Storm chances will continue Friday night and Saturday in Ohio, with repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms possible. There is uncertainty about how much of this will move into Southwest Ohio.
