Despite its location in the Midwest, Cincinnati has never been a meat-and-potatoes town. From our legacy of French dining to our newer James Beard-nominated restaurants serving cuisines from Eastern Europe, Japan and the global South, we've always been a cut above the rest of our region.
That said, we do love our steakhouses. From the arrival of Jeff Ruby's Precinct in 1981 to newer spots like The Lonely Pine and Losanti, we have plenty of great steakhouses around, each with a unique atmosphere all its own.
Check out six of my favorite local steakhouses in the gallery at the top of the page (or RIGHT HERE).
As you peruse my picks, if you think there's a steakhouse I need to give another chance, email your suggestions to me at kpandolfi@enquirer.com.
