It appears Over-The-Rhine has lost a community-favorite eatery known for its late-night hours on the weekends.
Lucky Dog OTR at 1210 Main St. used to be the go-to place after a night out in Over-the-Rhine, or even just for residents looking to grab a bite past midnight. But as of Oct. 4, the hot dog and coney restaurant has seemingly closed without any notice.
The storefront had no visible signage and only had leftover markings on the front door where the establishment's logo used to be. Inside the now nearly empty restaurant is a Pepsi machine, a soda fountain, counters and utilities including a sink.
The link to the restaurant's website is also down, and there are no recent posts on its Facebookand Instagrampages.
The Enquirer reached out to Lucky
Dog OTR for more information but did not immediately receive a response.
Dominique Arnold lives in Over-the-Rhine and is a student at Georgetown University. She said she went to Lucky Dog OTR three to five times a month.
Arnold said the hot dog restaurant closed at 3 a.m. some nights − Fridays and Saturdays, according to Google. She remembers it getting busy after nearby bars like Mr. Pitiful OTR's closed for the night.

Arnold said she is not happy. She used to enjoy 13th Street Alley, another affordable eatery that served Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks. That storefront is also empty as of Oct. 4.
In September 2025, Taste of Belgium closed its OTR bistro.
"I just think it's pricing people out," Arnold said of local landlords and developers.
An Enquirer reporter counted about six storefronts on the 1200 Block of Main Street that appeared to be empty.
Scotlyn McConnell works as a bartender in OTR and went to Lucky Dog OTR a couple times a month. Her and her partner who is also a bartender would go in the early hours of the day when they got out of work.
"It was good," McConnell said. "I'm going to miss it."
