Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will play against the Houston Texans on Sept. 20, according to coach Zac Taylor.
Burrow, 29, is dealing with back tightness. He was a limited participant in practice this week but practiced in full on Sept. 18.
The Bengals’ quarterback told reporters in Cincinnati that his back tightness started following the Sept. 13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He didn’t specify which play triggered his back pain.
Burrow made it clear on Sept. 16 he was going to play in the Week 2 road contest.
“I think every game is important,” Burrow said. “I’ll do what it takes to be out there. If I’m not having surgery, I’ll be out there.”
