What is the story about?
A woman is dead after a house fire occurred in Lockland on Sunday, according to Lockland Fire Chief Doug Wehmeyer.
Wehmeyer said firefighters were called to the 400 block of Patterson Avenue around 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 18.
He says it would have taken them about 30 seconds to arrive, but a train crossing the area delayed the firefighters’ response by about seven minutes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters have not identified the woman as of late morning Sunday.
