The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services issued WARN notices from employers in September 2026, with six companies indicating they are planning layoffs or closures.

Marc Glassman, Inc., also known as the drugstore Marc's, will close its Parma location by November 2026 and lay off 55 employees.
Here is the full list of Ohio's September 2026 WARN notices with the number of affected workers who may be laid off:
- PJ Trailer, a trailer and truck bed company, in Mount Orab (116 workers)
- Marc Glassman, Inc., a discount drugstore and grocery chain, in Parma (55 workers)
- Perstorp Polyols, Inc., a chemical manufacturer, in Toledo (50 workers)
- Michigan Sugar Company, an agricultural cooperative that processes beet sugar, in Toledo (7 workers)
- Powers and Sons, LLC, an auto parts manufacturer, in Montpelier (53 workers)
- Ardor Delivery Services, an Amazon delivery service partner, in Centerville (179 workers)
What is a WARN notice?
A WARN notice, also known as the "Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification," gives workers advance notice at least 60 days before their layoff date, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
WARN notices are required when the employer has 100 or more full-time employees,
the layoffs will last more than six months and they affect at least 50 full-time employees.
