Two Cincinnati sports stars were recently spotted at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.
Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz visited the zoo on Friday, according to a Facebook post from Emily Eising, a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet engineering supervisor.
Eising shared a photo of De La Cruz with a group of children and wrote, "A wild day at the zoo made even more memorable by meeting Cincinnati Reds superstar Elly De La Cruz."
About an hour later, Eising posted another photo, this time of Bengals kicker Evan McPherson, writing, "First Elly De La Cruz, and now Evan McPherson! These boys are having quite the day at the zoo!"
It's unclear why De La Cruz and McPherson were at the zoo on the same day.
McPherson's visit came two days before he broke the
Bengals franchise recordfor consecutive field goals made. He converted his 22nd straight field goal Sunday on a 26-yard kick in the fourth quarter of Cincinnati's Week 5 victory over the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.
