More than 20,000 fans attended Redsfest at the Cincinnati Convention Center last January. The event wascanceled in 2025 due to renovations at the venue.

"We were honored to have Redsfest serve as the first event at the newly renovated Cincinnati Convention Center following its reopening in January

2026. We look forward to bringing Redsfest back in 2027 during its traditional early December timeframe," a statement on the team's website read.

The Reds have not explained why the event will not be held during the 2027 offseason. News of the event not happening comes during ongoing negotiations over a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The current CBA between Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association is set to expire at 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, Dec. 1. The key issue surrounding negotiations for a new CBA is the owners' desire to implement a salary cap.
