Two Boone County high school students were arrested after investigators said they brought a gun to school, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
A Ryle High School student reported seeing another student with a firearm in a restroom on Monday, Aug. 24, according to a release. Deputies received the report the following day, on Aug. 25, and arrested the two students whose names and ages were not released.
Investigators said that the incident did not appear related to any known threats or plans to harm students or staff. The two students are being held at Campbell County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
