They are the biggest names in amusement parks in Ohio, but are those names going to change?
Six Flags has surveyed some season passholders at Kings Island in the Cincinnati area and Cedar Point in Sandusky about potential new names for the parks, Cleveland.com reports. Both parks have retained their names since they opened, which for Cedar Point was in 1870. Kings Island opened in 1972.
Here are the names included in the surveys.

Six Flags says no decisions have been made
Kristin Fitzgerald, a spokesperson
for Six Flags, says no decisions have been made.
“The survey was designed to test a variety of naming concepts and better understand what resonates with guests,” she told Cleveland.com. “The options are research concepts, not proposed or final names.”
The surveys are part of the company’s regular research into what guests want from its parks, Fitzgerald said.
“We regularly conduct research to better understand what matters most to our guests and passholders,” she said. “Their feedback is incredibly valuable and helps inform thoughtful decisions about the future of our parks and our company, and particularly, how we can enhance the experience for our loyal and prospective guests.”
