An 18-year-old was killed and another person hospitalized after a shooting in Mount Healthy.
Mount Healthy officers responded to an apartment complex in the 7600 block of Clovernook Avenue around 8:30 p.m.
Aug. 24 after a report of gunshots, according to a department news release.
Officers found two men with gunshot wounds. Both men were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Ja'ceir Davis, of Springfield Township, died of his injuries after the shooting, the Hamilton County Coroner's Office confirmed.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is assisting with the investigation. Detectives are continuing to follow leads and conduct interviews, sheriff's office spokeswoman Kyla Woods said in a message to media. Woods did not respond to a message asking whether the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
