"Dancing with the Stars" returned Tuesday night for its 35th season, and the star-studded competition has already revealed its first elimination.
The night began with all eight male celebrity contestants taking the ballroom floor to compete for the Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy. Each contestant performed to the No. 1 song from the year they were born, according to an ABC press release.
The season premiere ended with one star going home (and it wasn't the person who received the lowest score).

Who got the best score on the 'Dancing with the Stars' season 35 premiere?
During Tuesday night's premiere, eight male celebrities competed for scores from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Those scores were later combined
with viewer votes to determine the night's elimination.
Here are the judges' scores from Tuesday's episode of DWTS:
- Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson (Cha Cha): 21.
- Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach (Tango): 20.
- Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess (Tango): 17.
- Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold (Cha Cha): 16.
- Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart (Quickstep): 16.
- Jackson Olson and Emma Slater (Cha Cha): 15.
- Conner Leavitt and Adele Zaikman (Salsa): 12.
- Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson (Cha Cha): 10.
The season 35 premiere experienced issues with online voting, with "Dancing with the Stars" announcing that only text votes would be combined with judges' scores to determine the night's elimination.
Who was voted off 'Dancing with the Stars' last night?
Ahead of the results, Alfonso Ribeiro revealed that the show received "more than double the votes" than last year's premiere, even though they were only counting half the votes due to the tech glitch.
Although he didn't receive the lowest score, Conner Leavitt was eliminated during Tuesday night's premiere.
"This has been the most fun. I have the greatest dance partner in the world in Adele [Zaikman]," the "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star and husband of former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Whitney Leavitt said afterwards.
Who is Conner Leavitt?
Some "Dancing with the Stars" viewers will remember Leavitt from last season as he cheered on his wife Whitney and her partner Mark Ballas during season 34. The duo reached the semifinals last season before being eliminated ahead of the finale.
Leavitt was present during each competition, cheering on his wife, so it's not surprising the franchise would bring him back to show off his own dance moves. His first dance with partner Adele Zaikman was a salsa to "Whoomp! (There It Is)" by Tag Team.
The 32-year-old finished near the bottom of the judges' leaderboard with 12 points.

When is the next 'Dancing with the Stars' episode?
The second episode of "Dancing with the Stars," dubbed "Premiere: Night Two," will air on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. ET.
During this episode, all of the female celebrity contestants will show off their best dance moves. At the end of the night, one star will be eliminated.
