After a quiet game in Week 1, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase responded with a stellar performance in a 20-6 win over the Houston Texans on Sept. 20.
Chase caught seven passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns. His 32-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter was so impressive it could end up competing for the NFL's Catch of the Year when the 2026 season ends. He added an 18-yard TD reception late in the third quarter that gave the Bengals a 17-3 lead.

Cincinnati’s offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher and quarterback Joe Burrow said Chase couldn’t have another game like he did in Week 1. The Bengals didn’t get
the ball to their star wide receiver enough in the win over the Buccaneers. He caught two passes for 12 yards, his lowest production in a game since December 2021.
From the opening drive Sunday, the Bengals made it clear they were going to put the game in Chase’s hands. Burrow's first three passes targeted Chase, whose play seemed to lift the entire team. He was targeted nine times overall. Fellow receiver Tee Higgins actually had more receiving yards (95) on five catches. He was targeted 10 times.
Cincinnati is 2-0 for a second consecutive season under head coach Zac Taylor.
