Cincinnati police will soon discuss the Sept. 25 Talbert House response where officers shot and killed a man.
Interim Police Chief Adam Hennie, City Manager Cheryl Long and Mayor Aftab Pureval are scheduled to share remarks at 5 p.m. regarding a shooting at the Talbert House in University Heights.
Police received a call for an active shooter around 7:45 p.m. and exchanged two rounds of gunfire with a man inside the four-story homeless shelter.

No police officers were injured, said department spokesperson Brad Underwood. Interim Police Chief Adam Hennie said "it does not appear that there are any other victims inside the building" while at the scene.
The suspect gunman's relationship
with the Talbert House was not known by police the night of the shooting.
This is the sixth fatal shooting by Cincinnati police officers in the past five years. The most recent was the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man in Green Township after an abduction pursuit in August.
