The Big East Conference announced the men's regular season basketball league schedule Sept. 14, completing Xavier's 2026-27 regular season slate.
Xavier, which finished 16-18 overalland tied for last in the Big East (6-14) last year, opens league play on Saturday, Dec. 19 on the road against Marquette at Fiserv Forum.
Xavier's Big East home opener is on Tuesday, Dec. 22 when Creighton visits Cintas Center.

The first matchup between Richard Pitino and St. John's head coach Rick
Pitino will be at Cintas Center on Jan. 26. St. John's won both matchups last season by five points. Xavier has four Saturday home conference games, including the regular-season finale against UConn on March 6.
Xavier has additional marquee matchups in itsnonconference schedule, including five regular season contests against high-major opponents. Xavier will play preseason exhibition contests against Dayton at the Lindner Family Tennis Center Oct. 7 and will visit Knoxville to play Rick Barnes' Tennessee Volunteers Oct. 15.
Xavier has three high-major opponents in neutral site clashes. The Musketeers will meet Mississippi State at the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia Nov. 13. Two weeks later, Xavier will play Texas A&M and Virginia in the Battle 4 Atlantis. Xavier has a home game against Iowa Nov. 20.
Xavier's only true road game in nonconference play is the 94th Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout against UC at Fifth Third Arena on Saturday, Dec. 5. Xavier has won seven of the last 10 Crosstown Shootouts but lost the last meeting at Fifth Third Arena in 2024.
Xavier opens the regular season against Mount St. Mary's at Cintas Center on Monday, Nov. 2.
