New York Knicks guard Miles "Deuce" McBride brought the Larry O'Brien championship trophy to the Moeller Crusaders football team's 45-7 win against Groveport-Madison High School at Mount St. Joseph University.

McBride, who won his first NBA title earlier this year in his fifth NBA season with the Knicks, was honored by Moeller during the game Aug. 28.

McBride was a second-round pick in the 2021 NBA draft. He played in college for the West Virginia Mountaineers, when they were coached by former Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Bob Huggins.

As a senior at Moeller, McBride helped the Crusaders to a 29-0 record and Div. I state championship. His father, Walt, was a basketball standout for the Xavier Musketeers, and his mother, Kim, played tennis at Ohio

State.

Miles also played quarterback at Moeller.
