Olive oil found at several Cincinnati locations has been recalled for using a garlic essential oil that wasn't approved for culinary use, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
The recalled product is Kofinas Olive Oil's garlic Mediterranean infused extra virgin olive oil sold in 500 ml., 250 ml. and 100 ml. glass bottles between August 31, 2025, to August 27 this year.
Montgomery Store & Infusion Kitchen at 8210 Market Place Lane, along with Findlay Market on Race Street, both sell the Kofinas product. The producer also has an online shop.
So far, no illnesses have been reported related to the affected olive oil. Anyone with symptoms of an allergic reaction or food-borne illness should contact a physician immediately.
Any customer
who reports a reaction to the oil will receive a full refund, according to the FDA.
