Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was a full participant early in the team's practice Sept. 23 ahead of a Week 3 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium.
Burrow went through his typical pre-practice routine and stretched with the team, which he did not do one week earlier as a limited participant in practice.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor told reporters before practice that Burrow was sore and the team would see how he comes through practice today as far as gauging his participation level in practice this week.
Burrow took several big hits during the team's NFL Week 2 win against the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium. He told reporters after the game he thought he played "incredibly average," but his first of two touchdown
passes to Ja'Marr Chase was among the top highlights so far of the NFL season.
Burrow was limited during the week before the win in Houston because of a back injury. He was listed as questionable on the Bengals' injury report for that game.
The Bengals elevated veteran QB Josh Johnson from the practice squad because of Burrow's injury.
The Bengals will be without receiver Andrei Iosivas for at least the next four games because of a thumb injury.
Burrow played in just eight games during the 2025 season after suffering a turf-toe injury during a Week 2 win against Jacksonville.
