Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith was injured during the fourth quarter of the team's NFL Week 7 game against the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium.
Smith remained down at the end of a play after tackling Bengals running back Chase Brown. Brown had a 4-yard run on the play.
"His right knee got hyperextended as he went to make the tackle," CBS analyst JJ Watt said during the broadcast.
Smith was replaced by Teddye Buchanan.
The Ravens announced Smith was questionable to return.
In 2023, Smith said Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow's wrist injury was something that sometimes happens "when you play the Ravens' (defense)."
"You know, he's a great player," Smith said of Burrow. "I've got a lot of respect for him, the way he plays the game. But,
hey, injury's part of the game so, you know, when you play the Ravens' D, sometimes things like that happen."
A short time later, fans were heard loudly chanting "f--- Joe Burrow" as Prime Video analysts discussed the Ravens' 34-20 win.
