The Hamilton West Side Little League squad is just two wins from reaching the 2026 Little League World Series.
Representing Ohio, Hamilton advanced to the semifinals of the Great Lakes Region Tournament on Sunday, Aug. 9, after dominating Indiana's Japser National squad 11-0. Boone Treadway, one of just two returning players from Hamilton's 2025 squad, starred with a solo home run and six strikeouts while starting on the mound.
In the opening round of the Great Lakes Region Tournament on Aug. 8, Hamilton defeated Michigan's Greater Bay 10-4.
Now, Hamilton will face Kentucky's North Oldham team in the semifinals on Monday at 7:00 p.m. ET, with the game being broadcasted on ESPN. After defeating Illinois' Burbank American 12-2 on Aug. 8, North Oldham looks
to get one game closer toward advancing to its first Little League World Series (LLWS) since 2011.
If Hamilton gets past Kentucky it will face either Indiana, Kentucky or Illinois in the regional championship game on Wednesday. The winner of the championship game will advance to the Little League World Series, which is taking place from Aug. 18 to 30 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Hamilton has been a dominant force in Ohio Little League baseball. In July, it captured its third-consecutive Ohio Little League Majors championship, and 23rd overall, beating Canfield 4-3 in the title game. It has advanced to the LLWS five times, last doing so in 2021 when it made it all the way to the tournament finals.
In 2025, Hamilton made it to the Great Lakes Region Tournament title game but fell to Illinois, coming one win short of returning to Williamsport.
