If you're passing out candy this Halloween, consider stocking up on Ohio's favorite sweet treat.
Instacart, an online grocery delivery and pickup platform, recently released a report on the most popular Halloween candy in each state. Ohio's favorite Halloween candy for 2026 is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. The candy also ranks No. 1 in Kentucky and Indiana, according to the report.
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are the nation's top-selling candy by ounces sold and the top seller in 40 states and Washington, D.C.
To determine it's findings, Instacart calculated the percentage difference between each candy's share of ounces sold in a state on it's platform and its share of ounces sold nationally during October 2025. Data from select retailers were excluded
in certain states where legally required. Private-label brands were also excluded.
