The Kentucky High School Athletic Association golf season came to an end on Oct. 10 with the conclusion of the girls state finals which followed the boys finals on Oct. 6 and 7.
St. Henry eighth grader
Reese Anthony was the Northern Kentucky standout in the girls championship. Anthony finished 10th overall, shooting an eight-over-par 152 over the two days at Bowling Green. Anthony shot a 75 on day one and a 77 the next, finishing 13 shots behind Sacred Heart's Keira Yun who repeated as KHSAA champion.

Ryle's Elizabeth Dickson was just behind Anthony, carding a 155 and finishing in a tie for 12th overall. Dickson was in the top five after her day one 73 which was followed up with an 82 to end the tournament.
Pendleton County's Taylor Bruener finished in 22nd with a 161, Notre Dame's Maria Penaranda tied for 34th with a 165 and Ryle's Lacey Wilson was tied for 85th with a 212.
Conner made its first ever trip to the state finals as a team. The Cougars finished ninth of nine teams. Lexington Christian Academy won the team championship by going 29-over for the weekend.

Sofia Seals paced Conner with a 172, tying for 57th overall. Bella White (198), Eva Fey (206), Cam Broering (212) and Evie Maurits (234) also played for Conner.
KHSAA boys golf state tournament finals
No Northern Kentucky teams made the KHSAA state finals, but some individuals made the cut.
While Frederick Douglass' Anderson Lang bested Louisville St. Xavier's Luc Kelty in a playoff after both finished with a four-under-par 140, Northern Kentucky's top finisher was Ryle's Hayden Li who shot a 151 and tied for 24th.

Parker Isaacs of St. Henry and Joseph Mangine of Covington Catholic tied for 32nd by shooting 153s. Jack Woolwine from Dixie Heights tied for 57th with his 159, Carson White from CovCath tied for 62nd with a 162 and Walton-Verona's Adam Gutman tied for 66th with a 164.
