The formerColetta's location in Bartletthas been sold.
Co-owner Lisa Coletta confirmed the restaurant location in Bartlett at 2850 Appling Road was sold to the poplar local Mexican restaurant chain, Casa Mexicana in early September.
“I feel like it was a good move. The sale went perfect. I wish Casa Mexicana good luck," Coletta said.
Coletta's originally planned to continue its catering operations in the 9,000 square foot Appling Road location, though catering will continue, Coletta said.
“Our catering will continue," she said. "We're looking forward to our catering growing.”
The restaurant still retains its original, 103-year-old location at 1063 S. Parkway in Memphis.
Casa Mexicana already has a variety of locations across the Memphis area and Mid-South,
including Collierville, East Memphis, Southaven, Olive Branch, Atoka and nearby the new location at Germantown Road and Stage Road, near Bartlett.
Coletta's held its last day at the Appling location in early July after 28 years in business. Stephen Coletta then told The Commercial Appeal the decision was down to a variety of factors such as difficulties post-COVID.
