Vote for Memphis area girls high school athlete of the week from Sept. 7-12

Voting is now open for The CA's Memphis area high school girls athlete of the week from Sept. 7-12. The poll closes Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.

Nominees are:

Ma'laiya Jones, DeSoto Central:

Jones had 15 kills in a 25-15, 25-13, 25-13 victory over Southaven.

Julia Helbig, Lausanne: Helbig had a career-high 17 digs in a 25-18, 25-18, 25-12 victory over St. Benedict.

Laylie Moore, Lake Cormorant: Moore had 14 kills, 14 digs and six aces in a 25-15, 25-16, 25-14 victory over South Panola. 

Dulce Amprez, Memphis Business Academy: Amprez scored two goals in a 4-0 victory over Fayette-Ware.

Amelia Jackson, Northpoint: Jackson scored three goals in a 4-2 victory over Westminster Academy.

Jada Lin, St. Mary's: Lin shot 67 to win medalist honors for the first-place Turkeys (144) in the FCA tournament at Memphis National.
