The LA Fitness in Arlington will have a new neighbor soon.
On July 23, planning firm Deaco Group filed a new construction permit with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for a new Dutch Bros. Coffee location at 8868 U.S. Highway 64 in Arlington.
According to the permit filed, the 986-square-foot cafe will have pick-up and drive-thru window services only. The estimated cost of construction for the project is $1.25 million.

The new location will be between the LA Fitness and Shadrachs Coffee. The Oregon-based Dutch Bros Coffee launched in 1992 as a pushcart business, and later expanded into a franchise in 2000. Since then, the coffee franchise now
has more than 1,100 locations nationwide.
Plans for the Arlington location were approved by the Lakeland Municipal Planning and Design Review Commission on April 9.
This would be the fourth Dutch Bros Coffee location planned or under construction in the Memphis area. The first location was in Collierville. Since then, plans for a franchise at 3495 Austin Peay Highway and 6200 Stage Road in Bartlett have been underway.
