What is the story about?

Another hotel is coming to a sector of the Wolfchase area that is booming with short-stay options.

A permit for a Holiday Inn Express is under review by the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development. The new hotel will be located at 2295 Market Farms Drive in Cordova.

The Holiday Inn will sit across from existing hotels Hilton Garden Inn, TownePlace Suites by Marriott and the recently opened StudioRes by Marriott. A Homewood Suites by Hilton was previously planned next to the Holiday Inn, but the permit has since been abandoned.

The growth of hotels continues alongside the closure of the nearby IKEA in May.

Holiday Inn Express will be a four-story,

92-room hotel. The brand usually functions as a budget option, with less expensive prices but services are limited to free breakfast and 24/7 coffee.
