Vote for Memphis area boys high school athlete of the week from Sept. 7-12

Voting is now open for The CA's Memphis area high school boys athlete of the week from Sept. 7-12. The poll closes Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.

Nominees are:

Aiden Jackson, Bartlett: Jackson carried the ball 13 times for 77 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-14 win against Overton.

Makaviyon McKinnie, Covington: McKinnie ran the ball 19 times for 170 yards and a touchdown in a 26-7 victory over Brighton.

Bennett Filsinger, Lakeland Prep: Filsinger carried the ball 22 times for 144 yards and a touchdown in 64-50 loss to Haywood.

Anderson Smith, Lewisburg: Smith won the 100 breaststroke and 500 freestyle at the Tupelo meet.

Jamarkus Pittman, MASE: Pittman had seven tackles,

including four for loss, and an 85-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 19-12 loss to Center Hill.

Neyland Ezell, Tipton-Rosemark Academy: Ezell rushed for 172 yards on 13 attempts and three touchdowns in a 40-6 victory over FACS.
