The first weekend of October is expected to be cloudy and rainy, with a slight chance of thunderstorms on several days.
Temperatures will be a little cooler than the last few weeks, and there's a chance of rain on most days this weekend, according to a forecast released by the National Weather Service in Memphis.

Friday weather
Oct. 2 is expected to see highs in the lower 80s and a 90% chance of rain, with a slight chance of thunderstorms. There will also be a light breeze, around 5 mph.
Friday night should be cloudy with a slight chance of thunderstorms. There's a slight chance of showers in the evening and a chance of showers after midnight. Lows are expected to be in the mid-60s. There's a 50% chance of rain.
Saturday weather
Oct. 3 will be mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 70s. There's a 50% chance of rain — a chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms.
Things will remain cloudy that evening, and lows will be in the lower 60s. There's a 40% chance of rain, and again a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. There's also a chance of showers after midnight.
Sunday weather
Oct. 4 is expected to be partly sunny with a chance of showers, mainly in the morning. Highs will be in the upper 70s, and there's a 30% chance of rain.
Sunday night should be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s.
Monday weather
Oct. 5 will provide a reprieve from the rain clouds, with sunny weather and highs in the upper 70s.
Later that evening, things will be mostly clear with lows in the mid-50s.
