A Memphis-based coffee shop has plans to open a new location in a Shelby County suburb.
Ramblin’ Joe’s Coffee is increasing its footprint with plans to occupy 3,000-square-foot-of-space in the roughly 12,000-square-foot
Landmark Center Strip Commercial Center in Germantown. The new Ramblin’ Joe’s Coffee in Germantown will be located in Suite 101, 1227 S. Germantown Road adjacent to Priority Pet Urgent Care.
The new Germantown Ramblin’ Joe’s will go into the former Simmons Bank location that is currently located at 7550 W. Farmington Blvd., Germantown.

The Germantown Design Review Commission unanimously approved July 28 on its consent agenda a site modification request for patio and landscaping for the new Germantown Ramblin’ Joe’s project.
Ramblin’ Joe’s request to the city is to create a new patio for outdoor seating and bicycle parking, according to DRC staff reports. The Ramblin’ Joe’s will also include indoor seating and drive-thru.
In June, the suburb’s design review commission unanimously approved a sign package for the upcoming Ramblin’ Joe’s.
What is Ramblin’ Joe’s Coffee?
David Lambert of Lambert's Inc. is the CEO and founder of Ramblin’ Joe’s Coffee. Lambert rebranded the name from Ugly Mug Coffee to Ramblin’ Joe’s Coffee in 2022. Ramblin’ Joe’s is known to serve fresh-roasted drip coffee, handcrafted espresso drinks, signature specialty lattes, cold brews, and frappes, alongside teas, energy drinks, and light breakfast and lunch options.
Ramblin’ Joe’s has Memphis locations at 4610 Poplar Ave., 2956 Sam Cooper Blvd., and a tenant space at Memphis International Airport. Ramblin’ Joe’s also has two more Tennessee locations in Nashville and Lenior City.
