The TSSAA girls soccer season began on August 17 as Memphis area teams try to position themselves for a chance to reach state competition in Chattanooga in late October.
Here are the top area high school players to watch for the 2026 season.
Ella Magee, Briarcrest, Sr.: Registered 11 goals and six assists last season at fullback for the perennial power Saints.
Addy Knowles, Briarcrest, So.: The midfielder had 11 goals and five assists for the Saints in 2025.
Ansley Harman, Briarcrest, Sr.: Started every game in 2025 for the Saints at defender, even adding a goal and an assist.
Caroline
Anglin, Collierville, Jr.: Had 15 goals and six assists for the Dragons, who reached the 2025 Class AAA state semifinals.
Piper Williams, Collierville, Jr.: Collected nine goals and two assists for the Dragons, who finished the 2025 season at 15-1-1.
Sophie Cogan, Collierville, Jr.: The THSSCA all-state honoree had 14 goals and four assists for the District 15-AAA champions.
Gennesis Morales, Collierville, Jr.: Posted eight shutouts in goal, including the majority of a 4-0 victory over Siegel in the Class AAA state quarterfinals.
Ellen Mills, ECS, Sr.: Will handle captain duties from her center midfield position for the Eagles, who finished the 2025 season at 14-6.
Eden Unger, ECS, Jr.: Defender who landed a spot on the TSWA all-state team for the Eagles.
Molly Furhman, ECS, Jr.: Was a TSWA all-state selection at goalkeeper, helping to guide the Eagles to the Division II-A state title game.
Cloe Ritcher, Fayette-Ware, Sr.: Named the team MVP for the Wildcats, who will look to compete in Class AA.
Scarlett Cowles, Houston, Sr.: The forward had 23 goals and 16 assists for the Mustangs, who advanced to the Class AAA title match in 2025.
Josie Parker, Houston, Jr.: Defender earned a spot on the TSWA all-state team for the Mustangs, who finished last season with a 16-6-2 record.
Ella Beaver, Houston, Sr.: Goalkeeper was the third 2025 all-state honoree for the Mustangs. Made seven saves in a 1-0 Class AAA championship-game loss to Bearden.
Sloane Hardin, Hutchison, Sr.: The UT Martin commit had four goals and six assists for the Sting last season.
Avery Vaughn, Hutchison, So.: Fullback chipped in two goals and three assists for the Sting, who finished 2025 with a 9-6-2 record.
Madeline Coletta, Hutchison, So.: Contributed a goal and an assist for the Sting, who earned the top Division II-AA seed out of the West last season.
Ann Sophie Grandchamp, Lakeland Prep, Jr.: Registered 14 goals and 11 assists for the Lions, who won the District 14-AA crown in 2025.
Sophia Pater, Lakeland Prep, Sr.: Led the Lions with 18 goals, while adding seven assists last season.
Isabella Pizzimenti, Lausanne, Jr.: Had 20 goals and six assists in 15 matches at forward for the Lynx last season.
Sofia Lima, Lausanne, So.: Midfielder tallied 13 goals and nine assists for the Lynx, who capped the 2025 season with 10 wins.
Lydia Smith, Lausanne, Sr.: Scored four goals from her defender position last season for the Lynx.
Anna Claire Dowdy, Northpoint, Sr.: Goalkeeper committed to Delta State will look to finish strong for the Trojans.
Bella Coletta, St. Agnes, Sr.: The Stars’ leading goal scorer returns after netting eight goals and adding five assists.
Olivia Owens, St. Agnes, Sr.: Contributed six goals and seven assists for the Stars, who advanced to the Division II-AA state quarterfinals.
Emma Casey, St. Agnes, Sr.: Defender set to captain a Stars’ squad that posted its best record (9-6-2) in seven seasons.
Elle Weathersby, St. George’s, Sr.: All-state midfielder had 22 goals and 11 assists for the Gryphons, who won the 2025 Division II-A state championship.
Callie Turner, St. George’s, Sr.: Anchored a title-winning defense that surrendered just 20 goals in 21 matches last season.
Payton Biggs, Tipton-Rosemark Academy, Sr.: The Arkansas State commit had 27 goals and six assists in 10 matches last season for the Rebels.
