After starting American Conference play with a road win over Charlotte, Memphis football is back home to face UAB.
The Tigers (4-1, 1-0) will face the Blazers (3-2, 1-0) in the "Battle for the Bones" on Oct. 10 (6 p.m. CT, ESPN2) at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. Though the Tigers have an almost entirely new roster and coaching staff, it'll be a chance for them to get some revenge after last year's stunning loss in Birmingham
.Memphis has emerged as one of the favorites to win the American in 2026, and it is favored by 14 points heading into the game. UAB has struggled the past few seasons but opened conference play with an upset win over Navy and has shown signs of life this season.
It'll be the third home game of the season for the Tigers after
wins over Arkansas State and UT Martin.
