Memphis Grizzlies guard Jaylen Wells is bringing his basketball camp to the Bluff City.
Wells will host a two-day camp in Memphis Aug. 15-16 for boys and girls ages 9-17 at the Memphis Sports & Event Center.
The camp is the second he has organized this offseason. He also will host a camp in his hometown of Sacramento, California, on Aug. 7-8.
The camp cost is $200. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit SleepNation.
Wells co-founded SleepNation, which was created to help under-the-radar basketball players with exposure and mentorship.
Wells joins a growing list of Grizzlies players who have hosted youth camps at the Memphis Sports & Event Center in recent years. Guard Scotty Pippen Jr. held a camp there last offseason, while Cam Spencer is scheduled
to host one Sept. 26 for boys and girls ages 6-16.
Former Grizzlies Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. also hosted their respective camps at the center.
Wells is entering his third season with the Grizzlies after they selected him with the No. 39 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He began his rookie season in a reserve role before earning a spot in the starting lineup, where he has remained.
Grizzlies players do not usually report for training camp until late September. The NBA is expected to release its 2026-27 regular-season schedule next week.
Following the team’s roster overhaul this offseason, the 22-year-old Wells enters the season as the Grizzlies’ most experienced returning starter.
Through two NBA seasons, Wells has averaged 11.4 points while making 143 career starts.
Several Grizzlies players have remained active in the community since the season ended. Pippenhosted a youth camp in Bryant, Arkansas, alongside his father, Scottie Pippen, in May. GG Jackson and Taylor Hendricks also recently partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis for back-to-school events.
