Spieth headlines a group of five players tied for the lead after the first round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship PGA Tour tournament on Aug. 13 at TPC Southwind.
Michael Thorbjornsen, Kurt Kitayama, Jake Knapp and Michael Kim joined Spieth at 5-under after shooting 65 in Round 1.
Seven players are one shot off of the lead, including Tommy Fleetwood, Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott.
Scottie Scheffler shot a 2-under 68 in his first round, while playing partner Rory McIlroy shot 4-over 74 and is 68th of 69 players.
