A women’s clothing boutique Sorelle Boutique will reopen in the historic Collierville Town Square.
Brittany McCalla, owner of Sorelle Boutique at 124 E. Mulberry Street, will open the new store at the former site of Patricia’s on the Square, a women’s and children’s boutique store, which closed permanently in 2024.
McCalla held a soft opening Sept. 9 for the 1,800-square-foot store, while the grand opening was on Sept. 19.
McCalla previously operated Sorelle Boutique for nearly four years at 6300 Poplar Ave. in East Memphis, a 1,600-square-foot location in the Paragon Place shopping center.
Perfect timing for Collierville
McCalla said her husband found the space at Collierville Town Square after two Germantown
locations they were considering fell through. The Collierville native said the timing was "nearly perfect" and being at the Collierville Town Square is the right area to help grow her business.
“We feel the Town Square is a good fit because there are coordinating businesses around us that complement our business well,” McCalla said. “Not even a month in, and I can already feel the community feel amongst the businesses here. I love it. Also, the foot traffic demographics is exactly what we needed.”
Sorelle Boutique offers a curated collection of women’s clothing, shoes and stylish accessories.
“Sorelle is all about inclusion,” McCalla said. “I strive to make sure all ages, shapes and sizes are able to find something at our store. We want everyone to feel welcome in our space, but more so comfortable and confident in their everyday styles they find with us. We offer a variety of women’s clothing and accessories that aim to be easy, affordable, and perfect for everyday wear.”
McCalla purchased Sorelle Boutique in December 2022. Ever since her first job in 2006 at The Buckle, which once operated at the Shops at Carriage Crossing, McCalla said she always dreamed of owning a retail store.
McCalla wants to create a "welcoming space" for anyone to come and go, feeling "loved and confident being themselves."
“I want to get Collierville to love us and bring a sense of ease when it comes to fashion and outfits for ladies,” McCalla said.
"I hope to become that store that everyone goes to when they need a gift, a happy for themselves, a new outfit, a closet refresh, a place to come yap, a place to get honest feedback and opinions on outfits. But ultimately, I want to be the place that isn’t just after your purchase. We want and value the connections with our customers.”
Germantown looks to expand snow and fleet equipment
Despite the sweltering temperatures, Germantown is making plans to prepare for eventual winter weather.
During its Sept. 14 meeting, the Germantown Board of Mayor and Aldermen unanimously approved on its consent agenda an $84,000 purchase for a new dump truck-style snowplow and salt spreader.
According to city officials, the heavy-duty setup reflects the equipment used by the Tennessee Department of Transportation and is designed particularly to clear major thoroughfares during significant snow and ice events.
Due to long manufacturing lead times, Germantown officials said the new equipment will arrive for use in late 2027 or early 2028.
Little Caesars pizza chain celebrates Bartlett opening
Little Caesars held a grand opening Sept. 12 at its new restaurant at 7418 U.S. Highway 70 in Bartlett. The Bartlett Little Caesars officially opened on Aug. 8.
Little Caesars also rewarded the first 100 guests in line during the grand opening with free pizza for a year.
The event featured a variety of entertainment and activities, including giveaways from the Little Caesars prize wheel, face painting, photo opportunities with the Little Caesars mascot and live music from an on-site DJ.
The 6,000-square-foot Little Caesars building anchors four 1,500-square-foot tenants. Little Caesars — which was founded by Mike and Marian Ilitch in 1959 in Michigan — is reported to be the world’s third-largest pizza chain with more than 4,000 locations in the United States.
Little Caesars is known for its HOT-N-READY pizzas, which can be picked up without pre-ordering, and its Crazy Bread. The company touts that it uses quality ingredients such as "fresh, never-frozen" mozzarella and Muenster cheese and a sauce made from vine-ripened California crushed tomatoes.
Little Caesars has an existing Bartlett location at 5985 Stage Road in the Bartlett Towne Center.
