Here's a look at promotions, hirings and other noteworthy business events in the Memphis area:


A2H collaborative planning and design firm expanded its planning practice with the addition of Jonathan Flynt as director of planning and Scott Henninger as senior planner. They joined the firm together as part of the company's expansion of planning capabilities for public and private-sector clients.
- Flynt has 15 years of planning and urban design experience with work spanning downtown and comprehensive master planning, urban infill, transit-oriented development, town centers and bicycle and pedestrian planning. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma.
- Henninger has public- and private-sector experience in planning, urban design and landscape architecture. He spent 13 years in the Town of Collierville's planning department, where his work included municipal project review, zoning and ordinance administration, public commission presentations, and coordination among public agencies. His broader experience includes town center planning, redevelopment, design guidelines, streetscapes, transportation and growth management, public engagement, and implementation. Henninger is a Tennessee registered landscape architect and AICP-certified planner and holds CLARB and National Charrette Institute certifications. He earned a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture from West Virginia University.

IMC Logistics Chief Information Officer Joel Tracy was named the 2026 National Large Corporate ORBIE Award winner, recognizing him as CIO of the Year among technology executives from major companies across the country. He received the award, which recognizes technology executives leading organizations with more than $800 million in annual revenue, during
the National ORBIE Awards on August 6 in San Jose, Calif. The event marked the culmination of Inspire Leadership Network’s annual member leadership experience, Converge26. Tracy was selected by his peers based on leadership and management effectiveness, industry and community engagement, and the meaningful business value and impact created through technology.
Rhodes College was awarded a three-year Institutional Impact Grant of $600,000 by the Educating Character Initiative, a project of The Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest University. The Educating Character Initiative is funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. The college will use this grant to integrate character education into its liberal arts curriculum and student experience, as well as to support a re-alignment of the college’s motto — Truth, Loyalty, Service — which is featured on its seal. The title of Rhodes’ project is “Service to Whom? Loyalty to What? Truth from Where? Living into Rhodes’ Values for the Next Hundred Years in Memphis.” The project leaders are faculty Lori Garner (principal investigator, English), Benjamin Curtis (philosophy), Mary Miller (biology), Hadi Khoshneviss (sociology) and staff members Matthew Bailey (student transitions), Jim Duncan (athletics), Jazmine Rodriguez (student leadership and engagement), Amy Moen (career and professional development), Richie Trenthem (information services), and Jessica Cowan (Turley Memphis Center for Community Engagement).

Al Harvey, of Counsel in Lewis Thomason's Memphis office, received the Senior Lawyers Division’s Robert W. Meserve Award presented by the American Bar Association. The award is presented to an outstanding member of the 45,000 lawyer-strong division who have demonstrated outstanding and loyal service to the ABA Senior Lawyers Division and the legal profession. He received the award for his dedication and distinguished service to the Senior Lawyers Division. Harvey is a senior member of the firm and has extensive practice in federal and state courts defending doctors,
LPL Financial LLC recently announced financial advisors Paul McCutchen and Jarod Wesson of McCutchen Wesson Wealth Advisors, have joined LPL Financial’s broker-dealer and Registered Investment Advisor platform. The team reported serving approximately $190 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets and joins the firm from Edward Jones. The advisors are based in Marion, Ark., and have more than 30 years of combined experience.
