Veteran hitmakers Earth, Wind & Fire are set to return to the Mid-South for a performance in 2027. The group confirmed an April 20 concert at the BankPlus Amphitheater at Snowden Grove.
Earth, Wind & Fire have been regular visitors to Memphis and the region over the past decade. They performed at FedExForum in 2024, Beale Street Music Festival at Tom Lee Park in 2023, Live at the Garden at Radians Amphitheater in 2021 and the Orpheum in 2019 and 2017.
The group — founded by the late Memphis native Maurice White, and now led by Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson — has scored eight No. 1 hits and sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. Over the course of a nearly 60-year career, they’ve released 23 albums, eight of which were certified
double platinum and reached the top 10 of the Billboard charts, making them one of the best-selling acts of all time.
The group has won nine Grammy awards, including one for Lifetime Achievement in 2016. In 2000, Earth, Wind & Fire was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Recognized as part of the 2019 Kennedy Center Honors, the group was the subject of a recent HBO documentary directed by The Roots' Amir "Questlove" Thompson.
Tickets for the BankPlus show will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Oct. 9. A special artist presale begins at 10 a.m. Oct. 7, while a local presale and Live Nation presale begin at 10 a.m. Oct. 8.
