Super 15 rankings have been shaped by big area matchups. The top four shifted for the first time in weeks, the middle of the pack saw little movement, and some new schools moved into the bottom third of the list.
Memphis area Super 15 Football Rankings for Week 7
1. Briarcrest
Classification: Division II-AAA; Record: 6-0, 1-0 West Region; Next game: at Christian Brothers, Oct. 2
The Saints cemented their spot at No. 1 in the Super 15 rankings after an impressive 38-30 win over Southwind in Week 6. The offense was dynamic, led by quarterback Cayden Dixon and running back Octavius Flynn. The road ahead doesn’t get any easier, but Briarcrest has the talent to compete with any program in the Volunteer State. Last week: No. 1.
2. Whitehaven
Classification: 6A; Record: 5-1, 1-0 Region 8; Next game: Open date
The Tigers traveled to Munford and won in dominant fashion, earning a 40-13 road victory. Whitehaven has looked untouchable since its Week 1 loss to Ensworth. Up next is a much-deserved off week, then Whitehaven hosts Southwind in a game nobody in Memphis wants to miss. Last week: No. 4.

3. Southwind
Classification: 6A; Record: 5-1, 1-0 Region 8; Next game: vs. Kirby, Oct. 2
Southwind played a competitive game against Briarcrest in Week 5, but a third-quarter unraveling, highlighted by two interceptions thrown by quarterback Malcom Jack, left the Jaguars down 21 points. They couldn’t close the gap. Still, a talented roster loaded with explosive playmakers will be an unwelcome sight for any Memphis-area team. Last week: No. 2.
4. Memphis Central
Classification: 5A; Record: 6-0, 1-0 Region 8; Next game: at Memphis Overton, Oct. 2
Memphis Central climbed into the top four of the Super 15 rankings after beating Germantown 28-21 to remain unbeaten this season. The seven-point victory was the Warriors’ narrowest margin of the season. Last week: No. 5.
5. Munford
Classification: 5A; Record: 4-1; Next game: vs. Kingsbury, Oct. 2
Munford lost for the first time in a 40-13 defeat against Whitehaven. The hosts had previously run the show against opponents, winning three games by at least 24 points. One loss doesn't negate the Cougars ability to be top challengers in 5A. Last week: No. 3.
6. Lake Cormorant (Mississippi)
Classification: 6A; Record: 5-0; Next game: vs. South Panola, Oct. 2
Lake Cormorant has shut off the water on opposing teams in 2026. No team has reached double figures against the Gators, who have gone back-to-back weeks without allowing a point. Last week: No. 6.
7. Christian Brothers
Classification: Division II-AAA; Record: 4-2, 0-1 West Region; Next game: vs. Briarcrest, Oct. 2
CBHS ended its two-game losing skid with a 42-12 win over PURE Academy. Region play is all that’s left on the Purple Wave’s schedule, and a rivalry matchup with the Saints will be a tall task. Last week: No. 7.
8. Collierville
Classification: 6A; Record: 3-3, 2-0 Region 7; Next game: vs. Craigmont, Oct. 2
Collierville struggled early in the season against stiff competition across the South, but those games clearly prepared the Dragons for matchups in Region 7-6A. They knocked off Bartlett 49-14 in Week 6 after beating Arlington 55-7 in Week 5. Last week: No. 8.
9. Houston
Classification: 6A; Record: 3-3, 2-0 Region 7; Next game: vs. Oak Grove (Mississippi), Oct. 2
Like Collierville, the Mustangs benefited from their early-season struggles by sharpening their skills for Region 7-6A play. Houston remains unbeaten in the region after a stellar 46-0 win over Cordova in Week 6. Last week: No. 9.
10. MASE
Classification: 2A; Record: 3-3, 3-0 Region 8; Next game: at Sheffield, Oct. 1
MASE jumps back into the Super 15 rankings after winning consecutive games in region play. The Phoenix have allowed just six points across their three region games this season while outscoring opponents by 94 points. Last week: Not ranked.
11. Covington
Classification: 3A; Record: 5-1, 2-0 Region 7; Next game: vs. Bolivar, Oct. 2
The Chargers put together a dominant 36-3 win over Ripley in Week 6, moving to 2-0 in Region 7-3A. They are positioned to contend in the region after winning four straight games heading into the business end of the schedule. Last week: Not ranked.
12. Bartlett
Classification: 6A; Record: 3-2, 0-2 Region 7; Next game: vs. Pearl-Cohn, Oct. 2
Bartlett lost its first two region games, most recently falling 49-14 to Collierville. On the positive side, the two region games likely to be the most difficult for the Panthers are off schedule. If they can turn it around in the coming weeks, they’ll maintain a spot around the top 10. Last week: No. 11.
13. Memphis Overton
Classification: 5A; Record: 4-2; Next game: vs. Memphis Central, Oct. 2
Overton has solidified its spot in the Super 15 rankings after big wins over Manassas and Wooddale. Its first region game of the season, against Memphis Central, will reveal plenty about where Overton stands. Last week: No. 12.
14. St. George’s
Classification: Division II-AA; Record: 5-1; Next game: at Northpoint Christian, Oct. 2
St. George’s earned a forfeit win over H.W. Byers in Week 6. Otherwise, its season hasn’t changed since it cracked the Super 15 rankings last time around. Last week: No. 15.
15. Lausanne
Classification: Division II-AA; Record: 1-3; Next game: vs. Evangelical Christian, Oct. 2
Lausanne couldn’t win its first home game of the season when Westview visited in Week 6. After a statement 42-13 win over Germantown, the Lynx have proven their talent but will need to convert it into wins as region play continues to heat up. Last week: No. 10.
