Visiting Graceland and Elvis Presley’s Memphis can be a multifaceted experience, with various packages and options ranging in admission from around $50 to upwards of $250.
However, if you just want to pay your respects to Elvis Presley and his family, there is a special limited period of time where free-admission walk-up visits to the Meditation Garden at Graceland are offered. This program allows fans the chance to visit the resting place of Elvis and his family at no charge.
Free visitor walk-up times are held daily from 7:30-8:30 a.m. All guests must enter the gates by 8:30 a.m. for a walk-up visit. Guests must also leave the mansion grounds before Graceland tours start at 9 a.m.

During Elvis Week (the days leading up the Candlelight Vigil commemoration of the death of Elvis on Aug. 16, 1977), the walk-up is especially interesting, as the driveway and garden are filled with wreaths and flower arrangements and artwork and other fan-made tributes to the King.
Elvis Week visitors can also take advantage of additional free walk-ups, with evening walk-ups set for 6:30-8 p.m. on Aug. 13, 14 and 16.
There are no walk-ups on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, as those are the only days Graceland is closed during the year.
