Chez Philippe has once again been voted among the top hotel restaurants in the country in a poll conducted by USA TODAY.
For 2026, Chez Philippe ranked No. 3 in the Best Hotel Restaurant category of the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards. The rankings were announced Aug. 19.
The fine-dining institution at The Peabody has landed in the list's top three every year since 2020, including taking the top spot in 2024 and No. 2 in 2025.
Kuro at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City snagged the No. 1 ranking in 2026, followed by La Padrona at Raffles Boston.
It’s been a year of national honors for Chez Philippe, led by Chef Keith Clinton who joined the restaurant in 2023 and is its first Memphis-born-and-raised chef. Clinton previously worked at Erling
Jensen and The Lobbyist.
In March 2026, Chez Philippe received the AAA Five Diamond Award, an honor the restaurant has earned since 1989. Chez Philippe is the only Five Diamond award winner in the tri-state area.
The restaurant also recently received a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, making it one of only nine Memphis-area restaurants to receive this accolade.
But as good of a year as Chez Philippe has had, its future is just as impressive and noteworthy. The restaurant will celebrate its 45th anniversary in January 2027.
