What is the story about?

American Deli is planning to continue expanding its presence in Memphis with a new location near Windyke.

The fast-casual food chain has filed a permit to open a location at 4265 Hacks Cross Road. The current building on site, formerly Original Hot Dog Factory, will be remodeled.

American Deli, based out of Atlanta since 1989, has a large range of food options, from burgers, salads, gyros and sandwiches to fried rice and fish. They also claim to be the inventors of the "Lemon Pepper Wet" wings.

An American Deli is set to take the place of the former Original Hot Dog Factory at 4265 Hacks Cross Road.

There are currently 14 locations in Shelby County alone, and one in DeSoto County. Saturation is high — the nearest Deli to the new location is only a five minute drive away at 7041 E. Shelby Drive.
