This weekend will bring some cooler evenings and a bit of rain as Memphis inches its way through early fall.
The temperature will remain below 90 degrees Fahrenheit most days this weekend, according to a forecast released by the National Weather Service in Memphis. There's also a chance of thunderstorms and a bit of a breeze.
Here's the weekend weather forecast from the NWS in Memphis.
Friday weather
Oct. 9 should be sunny with highs in the lower 90s and southeast winds at 5 to 10 mph.
Later that evening, things should be mostly clear before becoming partly cloudy. Lows will be in the mid 60s and there'll be a light breeze around 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday weather
Oct. 10 is expected to be partly sunny, and could be rainy — there's a chance of showers in the morning, then it'll be mostly
cloudy with showers likely and a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. It'll be a bit cooler during the day with highs in the upper 70s and temperatures falling into the lower 70s in the afternoon. There's a 70% chance of rain.
Saturday night should be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers, mostly in the evening. It'll be cooler again with lows will be in the upper 50s. There's a 50% chance of rain.
Sunday weather
Oct. 11 should be sunny again, with highs in the upper 70s.
That evening is expected to be partly cloudy before becoming mostly clear. Lows will land around the lower 60s.
Monday weather
Oct. 12 should be sunny with highs in the mid 80s.
That evening is expected to be mostly clear with lows in the lower 60s.
