One of the most iconic board games is returning to McDonald's restaurants across Tennessee for a limited time.
The fast-food chain announced Sept. 22 that its fan-favorite Monopoly promotion will return nationwide beginning Oct. 6 with a "simplified experience and one-of-a-kind prize list."
"This year, we’re going all in on the classic peel – what first made MONOPOLY at McDonald’s so iconic," the company said in a news release. "With all the pieces in your hands, fans will now have just one way to peel, with all gameplay done in the app."
Players can peel game pieces and scan them in the app to redeem instant-win food prizes or loyalty points. They also can compete for larger prizes, including $1 million in cash, a 2027 Jeep Cherokee and free McDonald's
for a year through a $1,040 McDonald's gift card.

How to play McDonald's Monopoly
Signing up to play the game, just like following the game’s rules, is pretty simple. All you have to do is follow a few steps:
- Register: Download the McDonald's App, opt in to Rewards and pre-register for the game.
- Order + Peel: Starting Oct. 6, order eligible menu items and peel the game piece sticker on your McDonald's packaging.
- Scan: Scan your game piece in the McDonald's App to redeem prizes, properties or Chance Card Game instant win plays.
Players also can receive a bonus Chance Card play in the McDonald's app for each eligible item purchased through the app or by scanning a Rewards code at the kiosk, counter or drive-thru through Nov. 1. Customers must register before ordering, according to McDonald's.

The following menu items are eligible for the Monopoly promotion at McDonald's:

- Hash Browns
- McMuffin sandwiches
- Biscuit sandwiches
Breakfast / Rest-of-Day
- Large soft drinks
- Large iced coffees
- Large iced teas
- Large specialty McCafé beverages
- Large hot McCafé beverages
Rest-of-Day
- Large French fries
- 10-piece Chicken McNuggets
- Quarter Pounder with Cheese
- Big Mac
- 4-piece McCrispy Strips
Which prizes can I win by playing Monopoly?
Fans can peel to reveal four different prize opportunities, according to the chain:
- Instant-win food: Free menu items, including McChicken sandwiches, Snack Wraps, McGriddles, shakes, smoothies and small fries.
- Instant-win loyalty points: Between 1,500 and 7,000 MyMcDonald's Rewards points.
- Collect to win: Collect winning combinations of property pieces for prizes such as a Carnival Cruise vacation, a trip to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, a 2027 Jeep Cherokee, one of three Polaris vehicles and more.
- Chance Card: Play for prizes ranging from gift cards from brands including Grubhub, Ulta Beauty and Uber Eats to $50,000 toward a home down payment, $50,000 toward college debt repayment and cash prizes from $10,000 to $1 million.
