A local brunch spot is expanding into the heart of Germantown.
Sunrise will move into an existing building at 7699 Farmington Blvd in Germantown, according to an Oct. 21 permit filing with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development.
The breakfast menu offers a range of seven biscuit sandwiches, six creative breakfast bowls, omelets, patty melts, breakfast tacos and classic bacon and egg plates. There's also a coffee bar and cocktails on offer. Lunch options differ from salads to burgers, chicken tenders and BLTs.
The locally-owned restaurant currently has two locations, one downtown at 670 Jefferson Ave., and another in East Memphis at 5469 Poplar Ave., the former home of Blue Plate Cafe.
The new Sunrise will face competition
from similar concepts based outside of the area, with Rise Southern Biscuits at Saddle Creek in Germantown and First Watch coming to Germantown Road in Cordova, as well as locally-owned Staks Kitchen and City Silo.
