A small strip mall on Poplar Avenue is getting a new tech-focused store.
An AT&T store will open at 5270 Poplar Ave. in East Memphis in a preexisting 2,636 square-foot space in a strip mall, according to a permit filing with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development. The store is adjacent to American Family Dentistry.
The new store will replace the former ZenStudio, a fitness business vacant since at least 2023.
AT&T locations sell new and used phones, and accept old phones for trade-in credit. They also sell smart watches, screen protectors, chargers and phone cases that fit newer phones.
A nearby AT&T store is located at 4938 Poplar Ave. Future plans for that store are unclear.
If you're not an AT&T customer, both Verizon
and T-Mobile stores are located directly across the street from the new location.
