Week 4 features interstate matchups, including a trip to Jackson. Teams could showcase consistency at this point in the season.
Game of the Week
Whitehaven (2-1) at Germantown (2-1)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
This Region 8-6A game of the week is a clash between two marquee programs. Both teams lost their opening game of the season but have won back-to-back games.
Houston is the common denominator when predicting which team will come out on top. The Mustangs knocked off Germantown 40-6 in Week 1 but lost 43-28 on the road to Whitehaven in Week 2.

White Station (1-2) at Southwind (3-0)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
The second Region 8-6A showdown between Southwind and White Station is another interesting matchup to watch. The Jaguars enter as the favorites after they squeaked past Houston 28-27 in Week 3.
White Station has lost two in a row after falling 35-7 to Memphis Central in Week 3.
Myers’ prediction: Southwind 44, White Station 13
Memphis Business (1-2) at Mitchell (2-1)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
Memphis Business beat Hillcrest 21-20 to open Region 8-2A play in Week 3, while Mitchell began region play by blowing out Bluff City 50-0.
This game could be pivotal in determining which program comes out on top of the region at the end of the season.
Myers’ prediction: Mitchell 28, Memphis Business 21
Tupelo, Mississippi (2-0) at Houston (1-2)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
Houston has played a gauntlet of a schedule to begin the year. Its latest defeat coming narrowly to Southwind 28-27 on Sept. 4. The Mustangs had a chance to win with 22 seconds remaining and proved that they can challenge any Memphis area school.
But Tupelo won’t be easy. The Golden Wave are the No. 1 team in Mississippi, according to the Clarion Ledger, so expect fireworks at Houston again.
Myers’ prediction: Tupelo 35, Houston 20
Collierville (1-2) at Madison Ridgeway Academy (2-1)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
For the third time this season, Collierville will take a trip outside the Memphis area to face Madison Ridgeway Academy in Jackson. The Dragons struggled in their first two games but beat Horn Lake (Mississippi) 35-7 in Week 3 for their first win of the season.
Madison Ridgeway is the No. 15 team in the Clarion Ledger Super 25 poll for Week 4, so this road trip will be another tall task for coach Joe Rocconi and company.
Myers’ prediction: Madison-Ridgeway 27, Collierville 13
Memphis Overton (2-1) at Bartlett (2-1)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
Bartlett attempts to win its first home game of the season in a homecoming game against Memphis Overton. Last week it defeated Melrose 28-12 on the road after losing at home to Germantown in Week 2.
Overton bounced back with a 30-6 victory against Oakhaven in Week 3. Sept. 11 is already the program’s third road game in 2026.
Myers’ prediction: Bartlett 28, Overton 17
Montgomery Bell Academy (3-0) at Christian Brothers (3-0)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
One side will pick up its first loss of the season. Quarterback Nate Brick and CBHS have scored 123 points this season, following a Week 3 blowout over Lausanne 48-21.
Montgomery Bell comes to town from Nashville as the No. 12 team in the latest statewide Super 25 rankings after defensive back Henri Perry grabbed a late-game interception to seal the win over Franklin Road Academy on Sept. 4.
Myers’ prediction: CBHS 34, Montgomery Bell 27 (OT)
Father Ryan (1-2) at Briarcrest (3-0)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
Father Ryan and Briarcrest will kick off Division II-AAA West Region play from opposite ends of the standings. The Irish have struggled as of late, losing its last two games, including a 45-3 defeat to Riverdale in Week 2.
Briarcrest, on the other hand, is coming off one of the state’s most impressive victories. It beat Ensworth 42-17 in Nashville on Sept. 4 and is now the No. 15 team in the latest statewide Super 25 poll.
Myers’ prediction: Briarcrest 48, Father Ryan 13
PURE Academy (1-2) at Memphis Central (3-0)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
Memphis Central jumped into the Memphis-area Super 15 rankings after an impressive 35-7 win at White Station. The Warriors have dominated on both sides of the ball, scoring 121 points while giving up just one touchdown all season.
PURE Academy lost its first two games of the season but turned things around at Rosa Fort (Mississippi) in Week 3.
Myers’ prediction: Memphis Central 38, PURE Academy 3
MASE (3-0) at Center Hill, Mississippi (2-0)
When: 7 p.m. | Sept. 11
MASE earned its first win of the season in a 40-0 win over Trezevant on Sept. 4. The blowout was a much-needed success following consecutive double-digit defeats.
A short trip to Olive Branch against Center Hill will be difficult. The hosts are coming off a 43-6 win over Cordova, so the Mustangs should be filled with confidence.
Myers’ prediction: MASE 21, Center Hill 20
