The desert may be hot this time of year, but that's not stopping anyone from dancing their hearts out.
The first Dancing with the Stars Con kicked off Friday, July 31, at Palm Desert's Acrisure Arena. The fan convention and live show brings both beloved pros and celebrity contestants to the desert.
The weekend-long event will include two live dance shows on the ballroom floor, live panels with favorite contestants, interactive photo experiences, exhibits, Q&A sessions, exclusive merchandise and other unique fan experiences. Fans can expect to see performerJoJo Siwa, judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, dancing pros Brandon Armstrong and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, actresses Danielle Fishel and Elaine Hendrix, retired figure skater Johnny Weir
and others.
Throughout the weekend, programming will take place across two stages, The Rink and The Main Stage. The Rink will hold the "Dancing with the Stars" museum and breakout events, while the Main Stage will have panels and three main events (Glitter Games, Mirrorball Mayhem and For The Fans). The fun continues all day Saturday, Aug. 1, with plenty of panels with the pros along with special guest appearances, and the convention concludes around 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2.
