vehicle fire in Desert Hot Springs spread to other vehicles and a structure, causing a large response as three fire departments worked to knock down the blaze on Monday, Aug. 31.
Cal Fire said the fire blaze was reported just before 1 p.m. at the 17-400 block of Ben-Mar, a small road off Dillon Road just east of Little Morongo Road.
The Cathedral City and Palm Springs fire departments were assisting Cal Fire, which had requested additional engines to the scene as of about 1:30 p.m.
